Personally, I use Linkedin, Google, Facebook, and Twitter to develop my professional network. And those are commonly used for professional network developing. Companies also let their employees use their privately designed apps to participate in job events.

Also, digital identity can be identified through your daily activities on the platform. For example, posts from instagram shows what you are interested in, how you are living your life, and what personalities you have.

Employer would respond differently based on if one’s network is private or professional. If an employer accessed your professional profile such as Linkedin, they would respond due to the job experiences, diploma, and contributions.
